Maiy Shawkat is a program facilitator, medical doctor, and community builder passionate about expanding access to education for conflict-affected communities. She has spent the past five years designing and facilitating learning spaces that empower young people across Sudan, the Middle East, and beyond.

Maiy is the founder of the IELTS MasterClass, where she has supported over 50 learners in achieving Band 7+ scores, including refugees and displaced students. She also works with global networks of social entrepreneurs, strengthening collaboration and building supportive learning communities.

Her work centers on creating safe, structured, and encouraging environments where learners can grow in confidence, language, and opportunity.
